Elmer’s has always been about sparking creativity and bringing families together, but with the rise of squishy collectibles and the slime craze, they saw a chance to take DIY play to the next level. The challenge was turning this idea into a hands-on, customizable experience with a quick turnaround.
Faced with an ambitious timeline, I led a team to take on the challenge. Using 2D character sketches, we developed the 3D models for 80 unique characters, using advanced modeling tools and a refined workflow to ensure precision and personality. Through collaborative project management and innovation, we delivered Elmer's Squishies in record time.

Elmer’s Squishies launched to overwhelming success, becoming the brand’s #1 selling activity product in Q4 2022. More than just a trend, it gave kids and families a new way to get creative, play together, and make something uniquely their own. Elmer’s Squishies won design awards from Core77 and Good Design, and was a finalist for a Fast Company Innovation by Design Award.
